Join us for a Prayer Walk on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 9-11AM and then again 7-9PM, at League City United Methodist Church (LCUMC). This special event is an opportunity for our community to be in prayerful support of generosity as we look ahead to 2025. As the cost of living rises, it becomes increasingly difficult for many families to meet their basic needs. During this walk, we will reflect on the ministries and activities our congregation supports, which help address these challenges. To continue providing these essential services, our giving commitments will play a crucial role in shaping the ministries we can sustain next year. The walk will begin in the Welcome Center, and participants will visit 7 prayer stations located throughout the church, each focusing on different aspects of our mission: welcoming our neighbors, feeding bodies and souls, fostering spiritual growth, supporting youth and children, and envisioning the future. We hope you will join us for this meaningful time of prayer and reflection.
We invite you to attend our Committee Fair on Sunday, November 10, 2024, between the Magnify and Traditional services! This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the many ways you can serve and get involved at League City UMC.
Stop by the fellowship hall to meet with representatives from our various committees, ask questions, and discover how your gifts can help support our church’s mission. Whether you’re passionate about outreach, hospitality, worship, or something else, there’s a place for you to make an impact.
Join us Sunday, November 17, 2024, when we are joined by a guest speaker Heather Gates, who is the chaplain for Galveston PD. Heather will share her powerful testimony and insights about faith, service, and the role generosity plays in her life and ministry. Her words are sure to inspire and uplift us all.
