Where You Can Grow, Serve, Worship and Feel at Home

Adults at LCUMC have almost as much fun as the kids and youth!  Whether we are having fellowship together in worship or in small group study, LCUMC is a place where lasting friendships are made. LCUMC Adult Ministries seeks to fulfill our church mission statement of Worshiping, Sharing, Serving and Winning Disciples for Christ. Our hope is that LCUMC will be a place where you will grow in your love for God and His Word, you can serve Christ, you will make new friends, and you will feel at home.  Take time to find the class or small group that works for you.  Any of the classes and small groups would be happy to have you.

Sunday School classes are meeting on-line and in-person. For more information about Sunday School Classes and Small Groups, email Info@LCUMC.org.

Pairs and Spares

Pairs and Spares

Room 134, Education Wing

This is a class comprised of adults (50’s and older) who enjoy hearing and discussing different ideas about scripture and the Christian experience. Most of our children are out of the house, so our interests have changed from “parenting” to “grand-parenting” and dealing with life in the middle years.

Voyagers

Pairs and Spares

Women of the Well

Room 135, Education Wing

The Voyagers are primarily comprised of single and married adults in their 30’s, 40’s, and 50's who study topics that enhance their Christian walk.

The class enjoys being together, whether it’s doing service projects around the church, eating dinner together at a restaurant, or gathering at someone’s home for a party and fellowship.

Women of the Well

Women of the Well

This class emphasizes strengthening our relationship with God through the study of the Bible and Spirit-led discussions.

The Women of the Well have times of fellowship through luncheons and fun outings.   They invite you to check them out.

Seekers

Women of the Well

Family Ties

Room 156, Admin Wing

Family Ties

Women of the Well

Family Ties

Conference Room, Admin Wing

This is a class made up of adults 50+, but all are welcome.

Want to know what to expect when attending this class? Expect people who don't have all the answers but are exploring.  Expect respect for different opinions, even if they are, "out there." Expect people that love to laugh and don't mind being interrupted when someone has something to share with the group.

The class studies a wide variety of subjects and welcomes those who struggle with the established viewpoint since we all bring our own life experiences to understanding and applying Christian lessons in our lives.

Small Group Bible Studies

LIFT (Ladies' Bible Study)

The women's group LIFT (Ladies in Faith Together) meets on Tuesdays at 1PM in the conference room in the administrative hall of the church. Their focus is growing spiritually through study and this has been accomplished through an array of Bible Studies such as those created by Max Lucado, Women of Faith, and Beth Moore.  Everyone is invited to attend and bring a friend!

Agape

Wednesdays Via Zoom @ 7PM

This group offers a mid-week alternative for Bible Study and is a wide mix of ages and experiences, but they are all bound with a common love for understanding God’s Word (expressed in the form of the Bible) and how to live out His Word through our lives. The class explores how Jesus is revealed in God’s Word from Genesis to Revelation through Scripture Study and lively discussion. No advance preparation is required and the only resource needed is your Bible.

To join the class or to ask questions, contact the leader, Kevin Bauman.

Men at 10

Thursday mornings at 10 am men of all ages meet in room 158 with our Senior Pastor to study the Bible. If you are a stay at home dad, retired or have Thursdays off work, come as you are!

Ladies' Small Group

Meets on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15 pm  on Zoom.  Ladies are invited to enjoy a night out with fellow women of all ages and seasons of life.  There is a gathering time, followed by a group study, ending in prayer time between 8:00-8:15 pm.  Questions may be answered through emailing Jennifer Lloyd.

Friday Morning Small Group

This group's  time together is an invitation to create space for God and tend to our souls. After a time of prayer, the group reads a Psalm, a text from the Bible, and have a time of reflection. The class ends their time together with a blessing and prayer.

Everyone is welcome to join.  This small group gathers at 9:30am on Friday mornings in the Lobby area of the church. Please contact Tricia Harris at with questions.
