Adults at LCUMC have almost as much fun as the kids and youth! Whether we are having fellowship together in worship or in small group study, LCUMC is a place where lasting friendships are made. LCUMC Adult Ministries seeks to fulfill our church mission statement of Worshiping, Sharing, Serving and Winning Disciples for Christ. Our hope is that LCUMC will be a place where you will grow in your love for God and His Word, you can serve Christ, you will make new friends, and you will feel at home. Take time to find the class or small group that works for you. Any of the classes and small groups would be happy to have you.

Sacred Conversations is back this fall! Please join us as we use sacred engagement practices and other media (art, music, literature, etc.) to grow closer to God and closer to each other. This semester, we will be starting a conversation about communion: What it means, why we do it the way we do it, how other denominations compare, and how we engage with it on both a personal and community level. This will be based on the book "For All Who Hunger: Searching for Communion in a Shattered World" by Emily M.D. Scott, but book purchase is not necessary for participation in the class. For more information, please contact Lindsay Alexander (the blue hair is a giveaway)

Meets on Saturdays

Room 132, Education Wing
This is a class comprised of couples and singles who are sharing life’s many seasons. The Shepherds study the Bible, as well as other topics relevant to our lives. As working professionals, we lean toward studies that can be completed in class.
The Shepherds class also enjoy time together outside of class in activities and fellowship.
Room 134, Education Wing
This is a class comprised of adults (60’s and older) who enjoy hearing and discussing different ideas about scripture and the Christian experience. Most of our children are out of the house, so our interests have changed from “parenting” to “grand-parenting” and dealing with life in the mature years.
Room 135, Education Wing
The Voyagers are primarily comprised of single and married adults in their 30’s, 40’s, and 50's who study topics that enhance their Christian walk.
The class enjoys being together, whether it’s doing service projects around the church, eating dinner together at a restaurant, or gathering at someone’s home for a party and fellowship.
Conference Room, Admin Wing
This is a class made up primarily of adults in their 60s, but all are welcome.
Expect people who don't have all the answers but are exploring. Expect respect for different opinions, even if they are, "out there." Expect people that love to laugh and don't mind being interrupted when someone has something to share with the group.
The class studies a wide variety of subjects and welcomes those who struggle with the established viewpoint since we all bring our own life experiences to understanding and applying Christian lessons in our lives.
Hallway Space North of Pastor's Office, Admin Wing
Open Door is comprised of members who are young adults and young at heart.
This is a class primarily based upon the “Wesleyan Class Meeting” approach. Participants find scriptural characters of interest and learn about them, bringing material for discussion. It meets in the “hallway space” north of the pastor’s office.
Church Office, Admin Wing
This diverse group welcomes adults of all ages to join us as we come together to grow closer to God and closer to each other. Whether you’ve been at LCUMC for 10 years or 10 minutes, there’s a seat saved for you.
Room 156, Admin Wing
This is a class comprised of adults 60+ who study a variety of Bible-to-life issues. The class members are motivated and inspired in their participation and service to the church on a daily basis, and they also enjoy getting together for food, fun and fellowship outside of class time.
