Springboard
Springboard, the new Sunday School, will start on January 25th in the pastor’s office. I designed the Springboard course as a new member class for my home church. Since then, it has taken on a complementary purpose as a brief introduction to the theology and structure of the United Methodist Church.
Those of you who would like to explore what it means to be a member of this congregation of the UMC, and for those of you who would like a short refresher in the essentials of our Christian faith, and more specifically of the Methodist expression of that faith, you are invited to join me at 10 am.

Christmas Food Drive
LCUMC is hosting a food drive this month, in partnership with the Galveston County Food Bank. All nonperishable food and formula collected will be delivered to the Galveston County Food Bank on Monday, December 22. The food collected will go right back out into our community to help our friends and neighbors this holiday season. Food can be dropped off anytime during business hours, or on Sunday mornings.
We will also be hosting our monthly food distribution, with our partners at the food bank on Friday, December 19.
