The entire month of September is Make a Difference Month in which we serve as Jesus’ hands and feet to serve others. Have you completed or planned your mission(s)? Encourage your Sunday School class, family, group, or individually - to do more than one project. Please take pictures and let the Missions Committee know what missions you have decided to do.
An acolyte in the United Methodist Church plays a vital role in our worship services. The acolyte carries the "Light of Christ" into and out of the sanctuary, symbolizing Jesus' presence and light going forth into the world. It’s a great way for third graders and up to get involved, grow in faith, and develop leadership skills while serving the church community.
A training will be scheduled in early September. Our acolyte coordinator, Sarah Clay, will create a semester schedule after training. Your student may serve once or multiple Sundays a month. Dates will be scheduled to accommodate your availability.
Join us and be a part of something special! Please contact Andrea at children@LCUMC.org for more details.

Donating blood is a critical, lifesaving act that helps patients in need, including those undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, or suffering from trauma. A single donation can save up to three lives, as it is separated into red blood cells, plasma, and platelets. There is no substitute for human blood, making voluntary donations essential for community health.
