Blood Drive August 9
Donating blood is a critical, lifesaving act that helps patients in need, including those undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, or suffering from trauma. A single donation can save up to three lives, as it is separated into red blood cells, plasma, and platelets. There is no substitute for human blood, making voluntary donations essential for community health.

BBQ Pot-luck Supper

Our speaker, Mr. Yanara Ou, when a small boy lived through the Cambodian Khmer Rouge genocide occurring 1975-1979. In 1979 he was miraculously rescued from a refugee camp by a volunteer American couple and brought to their U.S. home for life-saving open-heart surgery. That surgery repaired the heart defect he’d been born with and also miraculously survived.
Mr. Ou wants to share these unbelievable experiences as he feels awareness of them helps prevent these kinds of ungodly events from happening again. And he enjoys talking about the colorful life and accomplishments that he’s enjoyed as a result of the grace that enabled his rescue and continues to support him.
NOTE: There may be topics discussed that would not be suitable for young ears, so following the dinner, infant & childcare will be available.
