Starting April 30th, you'll notice a special display of "Grad Hats" in the lobby, dedicated to celebrating this year's graduates. These hats symbolize not just achievement but also LCUMC’s support for our graduating students.
We invite everyone to contribute letters of encouragement, cards, and gift cards that can assist these graduates as they step into the next phase of their lives. It's a meaningful way to show our collective pride and provide tangible support for their future endeavors.
It's time to embrace the spirit of service and make a difference in our community. The Missions Committee has set May 4, 2024, as our next Make a Difference Day. This special day is about going beyond the church walls and becoming the hands and feet of Jesus in tangible ways. As Sunday schools, families, small groups, or individuals, you are invited to participate in this meaningful event. Whether it's volunteering at a local shelter or park, collecting essential items for those in need, or just lending a helping hand to someone in your neighborhood, every act of kindness counts. Let's copy Jesus’s example and help those where we are. Don’t want to do this alone? Then send an email to be partnered with one of our Sunday schools who are participating in this event.
You can capture the event with photos and post them to social media with the hashtag #makeadifferencelcumc or share a brief note with us detailing your activities as a comment on the post for Make a Difference Day on LCUMC’s Facebook Page. Let's go out and serve with joy and purpose!
On May 5th, our church is going to honor our church’s dedicated educators. Teachers and staff members are at the heart of learning, tirelessly working to inspire, guide, and support students every day. We ask all our teachers and staff to drop by the Teacher Appreciation table and pick up their special gift. This event extends our gratitude not only to our public and private school teachers but also to those within our local church who play a crucial role in shaping the minds of both the young and old.
Join us in the sanctuary (Gym) during from 10-11am on Sunday, May 5th as the discipleship team, part of the Christian formation committee, presents the results of the Renovo Spiritual Assessment Survey conducted by the congregation last November.

It's an opportunity to understand where we stand spiritually as a community and to chart a course for our collective growth and development.
We will be holding a special church portrait session on Sunday, May 12th, designed especially for those families with college students who were away at school.
