Homebound Ministry sends gifts and notes for those who are homebound to provide personal contact and involve them in the life of the church.
Periodically visit with those people who are living in these facilities. This personal contact may include reading scripture, playing board games, or just having a friendly conversation.

Hand out the Communion elements (wafer and juice) to the congregation during the service.

The Praise Band typically practices Thursday nights starting at 7:30PM. There is also a commitment for Sunday morning rehearsal and Magnify Service from 7:30AM to 10AM.
The Choir practices Wednesdays at 6PM for 1 hour. On Sunday mornings, expect to be involved from 10:45AM to the end of Traditional service.
The Handbells practice one hour Wednesday nights at 7:15PM. They typically set-up and perform once a month in Traditional service from 10:30AM to 12PM.
Share your gift one Sunday morning.
Prepare orange juice for the Sunday fellowship time between Magnify and Traditional service.
Show up early and prepare coffee to be served between the Magnify and Traditional service.

Help prepare and serve the after funeral meal.
Periodically phone members to check on their well-being.
This group meets once a month to plan mission activities both locally and state wide.
Help prepare and set-up for the annual missions fair in October.
Spend a Friday afternoon helping with our Food Truck Distribution. We partner with Galveston County Food Bank in this ministry.
Work with 4B Disaster Response Network on the 1st Saturday every month. This open workday does small chores for those who are unable to do them for themselves.
Be willing to donate blood or help with preparations to support blood drives to help our neighbors in the area.
Volunteer to help meet the needs of those people who work for the blood center at one of the quarterly LCUMC blood drives.
Help with a mission trip.
We partner with UMCOR and 4B Disaster Response Network to help provide storm relief.
Donate some time to help change the life of a child in need by reading to them during school.
Help plan this one day event that offers a variety of projects to serve our neighbors such as baking cookings for the the police and fireman and cleaning up the League City cemetery.
Travel to the Sager Brown Supply Depot in Baldwin, Louisiana to help with storm response preparations.

As a major aspect of its mission, the committee believes it our not our purpose to practice evangelism for the Church alone in isolation, but rather to practice evangelism corporately with our Church.
As a full Member you attend 4th Monday evening of the month @ 7:00pm.
Or... become an “as-you-can” participant of the committee. Occasionally help out at committee functions or be available on Sunday mornings for about 10-15 mins before each worship service to assist the welcoming team.
Call on visitors after they've attended to provide information, answer questions, and invite them to return.
Help bake or deliver bread for our visitors.
The prayer team is a group of volunteers who pray for all the prayer requests collected by our church via our website and the "blue prayer cards." The prayers are collected and distributed by the coordinator to the team each week by email. Participants then pray over the list on a schedule of their choosing.
No experience is required. What better way to develop your prayer muscles than to pray on behalf of others. This is an easy ministry to integrate into a busy schedule since you determine
Each year we hold one to two prayer vigils or prayer walks. The volunteers are part of a team that helps to plan and organize the events as well as help provide on-site support during the event.
Our prayer vigils/walks are open to the whole church. We advertise these through the church website, bulletins, and emails. However, if you sign up on AIM as a participant, you will get advance notice of upcoming prayer events.
Help set-up, organize, or collect for this annual garage sale to help support the missions of League City UMC.
Take time to organize a simple appreciation for our Sunday School teachers.
Help document the life of our church as we move into the next 125 years.
Help organize and maintain our church library.
Serve as a receptionist during office hours.
Help prepare the service presentation flow for Sunday morning.
Help record (either in front of or behind the camera) and prepare videos for Sunday morning and Facebook.
Help take portraits of new members and staff.

The team member will help gather information, or needs, from various committees. They will help to design materials for the Stewardship commitment package and they will help put together the Stewardship commitment package.
Although Stewardship is an ongoing process, the majority of their time needed is between July and October.
Write a seasonal devotional.
You will have the opportunity to make stewardship moment videos to be aired in the services or present your personal testimony in the services.
Got a skill you are licensed to use to help maintain the building? Share it with League City UMC.
Additional non-licensed needs include helping with plants and mowing selected areas.
Help with periodic clean up of the church building.
Join the "Kitchen Angels" for periodic clean up and reorganization of the kitchen and pantry.
